LSG beats RCB by 1 wicket in a thrilling clash  

After Rinku Singh unbelievable innings on Sunday for KKR, now it was time for Lucknow Super Giants to repeat this in different fashion. From 23/3 LSG scored 213/9 to register 1 wicket win, for a RCB fan this win should have been easily taken after getting Marcus Stonis caught out on 65 off 30 balls, but Nicholas Pooran’s power hitting helped LSG to stay in the game.  
 

KL Rahul who won the toss and asked RCB to bat didn’t have a good time with ball as with help of Glenn Maxwell (59 off 29) and skipper Faf du Plessis (79 off 46), RCB posted 212/2 in 20 0vers giving LSG target of 213. Lucknow Super Giants didn’t have a good start as they lost K. Mayers (0), D. Hooda (9) and K. Pandya (0) with just 23 runs on the scoreboard. After that opener KL Rahul and Marcus Stonis built a partnership of 76 runs, finally Marcus was out when LSG’s score was 99 runs and lost struggling KL Rahul who scored run a ball 18 off 20 balls before Nicolas Pooran power hitting rescued LSG from a defeat.   

RCB and LSG clash did not go untouched by last over drama as the last over saw everything Dinesh Karthik fumble, Harshal Patel’s missed runout chance. With this IPL witnessed two days, two last-ball finishes, while requiring 1 off last ball tailenders Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi held their nerves to steal the single that was required for the victory. But the main drama was on the last ball as Harshal Patel ran in to bowl his final delivery, hoe stooped in his track and with Bishnoi leaving the crease at the non-striker’s end, attempted to run out him. However, he fumbles to take the bails off, the run out did not count. Finally, Dinesh Karthik also fumbles giving 1 wicket victory in a houseful M. Chinnaswamy stadium.
