Much awaited Uttar Pradesh T20 is set to start with Kanpur Superstar taking on Noida Super Kings today at 7:30 pm in Green Park Stadium, Kanpur.
This inaugural season of the UPT20 league will showcase six franchises who will battle it out for supremacy in this exciting T20 event: Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Gorakhpur Lions, Lucknow Falcons, Noida Super Kings, and Meerut Mavericks. The league stage will adopt a double round-robin format, and the top four teams at the conclusion of this stage will secure their places in the playoffs. Kanpur Superstars and Noida Super Kings are all set to ignite the tournament in the opening match.
Several recognizable players are set to take the field, including Ankit Rajput representing Kanpur Superstars, Nitish Rana and Bhuvneshwar Kumar playing for Noida Super Kings, Shivam Mavi as a part of Kashi Rudras, Priyam Garg representing Lucknow Falcons, Dhruv Jurel and Mohsin Khan showcasing their skills for Gorakhpur Lions, and Rinku Singh along with Kartik Tyagi in the squad of Meerut Mavericks.
Both Kanpur Superstars and Noida Super Kings, who will face each other in the opening clash of inaugural UPT20 League are looking balanced with both squads having experience and talented squads. Players are as follows:
